Does extraterrestial life really exist?

To my utter imagination i used to wonder what exactly is happening in the outer space. After listening to all the dumb stories about god, demons and blah blah blah.....I came up with a conclusion that life should exist if science is correct. On religious terms this would seem absurd as aliens would exist but my real question is on religous terms why god made made so many stars and planet and made humans only on Earth?
